The developers of RegHunter promise that this tool can boost system performance by cleaning the registry from defective entries. The program has a nice tabbed interface that allows accessing its varied features without any difficulty. Likewise, most of the operations are carried out with minimal user intervention, which makes this product appropriate for all kinds of users.

From the tool’s main screen, you can access its main features. These include tweaking system parameters to increase speed, scanning the registry for errors, finding duplicate files, shredding sensitive data and detecting malware. After each scan, you can simply trust the program and let it fix all problems automatically, but there is also the possibility to examine the issues one by one and decide which ones should be solved. Luckily, you do not need to inspect all registry areas every time; instead, you can decide what kinds of problems to look for.

As most similar software, RegHunter includes extra features. One of them allows you to manage startup entries and minimize the time your computer takes to start. Similarly, the program helps you use storage space more efficiently by detecting duplicate files. Also, it can be used to defragment your hard drive.

Messing with the registry can be dangerous. That is why the program lets you perform registry backups, which allows rolling back undesirable changes. However, this can be useless when the system crashes altogether.

As a whole, RegHunter has most of the features you can find in similar tools. Unfortunately, its real impact on system performance could not be evaluated because its trial version does not allow fixing all the errors found.
